<\/a>Enabling Your Light Tower In Room Alert<\/h3>\n

Before you can set up Toggle Light Tower actions in Device ManageR, you must enable the Light Tower in your Room Alert. This FAQ shows you how: How To Enable Your External Light Tower Or Relay Switch In Your Room Alert Monitor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Your Light Tower will not appear in Device Manager until you first enable it in your Room Alert.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Setting Up Light Tower Actions In Device ManageR<\/h3>\n

To set up Light Tower actions in Device ManageR, follow the steps below. We’re going to set up four actions in our example: one to turn on the Light Tower\u2019s red light and one to turn it off; one to turn on the Light Tower\u2019s green light, and one to turn it off.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Open Device ManageR in your web browser. You may open it by entering \u2018localhost:8080\u2019 or \u2018<IP address of Device ManageR\u2019s host system>:8080\u2019 in your browser\u2019s address bar.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Select Alerts \/ Tasks<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. In the <\/span>Alerts \/ Tasks<\/em> menu, select <\/span>Actions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

4. Select Add<\/strong> to add your first action.<\/p>\n

5. In the Add New Action<\/em> window:<\/p>\n

– In Name<\/em>, enter a name for the action. In our example, we\u2019ve called the action \u2018Light Tower – Red Light On\u2019<\/p>\n

– (Optional) In Description<\/em>, you may enter any notes you feel would be helpful to explain the action.<\/p>\n

– In Action Type<\/em>, select the action you wish to execute from the drop-down list. Once you select the action type, options unique to that action will appear. In this example, we\u2019re choosing Toggle Signal Tower or Relay<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

– In Device<\/em>, choose your Room Alert.<\/span><\/p>\n

– In Toggle the<\/em>, choose the feature you wish to toggle. In our example, we\u2019re choosing LTA 1 – Red Light<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Then choose On<\/strong> or Off<\/strong>. For our first action, we\u2019re choosing On<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

– In If not successful, retry this Action<\/em>, you may leave the default, 0, or enter a higher number.<\/span><\/p>\n

– (Optional) If you wish, you may associate a schedule with this action by selecting Optional Schedule<\/strong> and choosing a schedule from the drop-down list. (If you attach a schedule to the action, it can be performed only during the hours you\u2019ve set up in the Optional Schedule.)<\/span><\/p>\n

– Then select Save<\/strong> to save the action.<\/p>\n

Repeat this process to add the toggle actions you require. In our example we’ve added a total of four toggle actions:<\/p>\n

Grouping Light Tower Actions In An Action \/ Notification List<\/h3>\n

Once you\u2019ve saved your toggle actions, the next step is to put them in an Action \/ Notification List. For more information, please see the next FAQ,<\/span> How To Configure Action\/Notification Lists In Device ManageR<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Your Action \/ Notification List may appear something like the one shown below, with the red LED toggling on during an alarm condition, and off on clear, while the green LED will toggle on during clear, and off during the alarm condition.<\/p>\n
