If you have attempted these actions and experienced issues, you may wish to modify the privileges on Device ManageR&#8217;s host system and re-attempt the action.<\/p>\n<p>1. Open the Services tool in the Windows system that Device ManageR is installed on. You may find Services at the following path: <strong>Start<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>Control Panel<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>Administrative Tools<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>Services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Locate &#8216;AVTECH Device ManageR&#8217; in the list of programs in the <em>Name<\/em> column and right click on it.<\/p>\n<p>3. Select Properties from the menu that appears.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Services_Properties.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2392\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Services_Properties.jpg\" alt=\"ADM_Services_Properties\" width=\"550\" height=\"299\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Services_Properties.jpg 745w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Services_Properties-300x163.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. In the &#8216;AVTECH Device ManageR Properties&#8217; window, select the Log On tab.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Select <strong>This account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In the text field, enter the username of an administrator on that local system or a domain administrator.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <em>Password<\/em> &amp; <em>Confirm Password<\/em>, enter the account&#8217;s password.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Select <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2045\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Log_On_Dialog_Box.jpg\" alt=\"Log_On_Dialog_Box\" width=\"400\" height=\"451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Log_On_Dialog_Box.jpg 420w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Log_On_Dialog_Box-266x300.jpg 266w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>5. When an alert appears telling you to restart the service, select OK.<\/p>\n<p>6. Right click on &#8216;AVTECH Device ManageR&#8217; in the list of services again.<\/p>\n<p>7. Select <strong>Restart<\/strong> from the menu that appears.<\/p>\n<p>The next time you open Device ManageR in your web browser, it will be running with administrator privileges.<\/p>\n<h3>Device ManageR User Accounts<\/h3>\n<p>Running the Device ManageR service as a Windows administrator is different from logging in to the Device ManageR web interface through a user account.
