Open Device ManageR in your web browser. You may open it by entering &#8216;localhost:8080&#8217; or &#8216;&lt;IP address of host system&gt;:8080&#8217; in your browser&#8217;s address bar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Select <strong>Settings<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Many phone systems, for\u00a0example, require &#8216;9&#8217; to make an outside call.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211;\u00a0<strong>If you are using TAP<\/strong>, enter a <em>Test\u00a0Service #<\/em>. Otherwise, leave this field\u00a0blank.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; In <em>Test Phone\/ID #<\/em>, enter a phone\u00a0number to send a test message to\u00a0once you\u2019ve finished configuring your\u00a0modem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; <strong>If you are using TAP<\/strong>, and your TAP\u00a0service requires a password, enter a\u00a0<em>Test Password<\/em>. Otherwise, leave this\u00a0field blank.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211;\u00a0In <em>Test Initialization String<\/em>,\u00a0leave the default string\u00a0(&amp;FQ0V1X4&amp;D2S38=10). It\u00a0configures the modem so that Device\u00a0ManageR can use it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211;\u00a0In <em>COM Port<\/em>, select the port that\u00a0your modem is using on Device\u00a0ManageR\u2019s host system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><em>To find the port, please see our FAQ,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/148\/how-to-check-the-com-port-of-your-modem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Check The COM Port Of Your Modem<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; For direct dial, select the following in\u00a0<em>Baud Rate<\/em>, <em>Data Bits<\/em>, <em>Stop Bits<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Parity<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 120px;\"><em>Baud Rate: \u00a0<\/em>2400<br \/>\n<em>Data Bits: \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em>7<br \/>\n<em>Stop Bits: \u00a0 \u00a0<\/em>1<br \/>\n<em>Parity: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/em>Even<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><em><strong>If you are using TAP<\/strong>, check with\u00a0your service provider for the correct\u00a0settings.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">5. Select <strong>Save Settings<\/strong> to save your changes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">6. Open Device ManageR in your web browser. You may open it by entering &#8216;localhost:8080&#8217; or &#8216;&lt;IP address of host system&gt;:8080&#8217; in your browser&#8217;s address bar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. This section contains the script that\u00a0Device ManageR uses to send notifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">5. Select <strong>Save Settings<\/strong> to save your changes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">6.
